DuPont Teijin Films have developed the LuxCR™ depolymerisation process which upcycles post consumer waste into a variety of technically advanced BOPET films serving a wide range of applications and markets. The use of recycled content is a critical part of DuPont Teijin Films’ circular economy strategy, and the upcycling of PET through the LuxCR™ process also marks an important step forward in the chemical recycling technology for the wider polyester industry.
Richard Smith, Sales Manager, Wrapid Heat Sealant Films, commented, “As Europe’s largest distributor of DuPont Teijin Films, we are in a great position to capitalise on DuPont’s recycling innovation. Playing a part in the ‘war on plastic’ is very much central to our responsible approach to business and we look forward to helping other like minded businesses follow suit.”Steve Davies, DuPont Teijin Films, EMEA Packaging Market Manager, said, “We have invested considerable time and effort into commercialising the LuxCR™ process and now want to communicate the positive benefits that the LuxCR™ process can deliver to a wide range of stake holders throughout the value chain.”
